Preschool Excitement Blue's

Well my big 3 year old started preschool this week!!!
(She insisted on wearing this head band)

Sunday night both girls had gone to bed and Chad and I were watching some TV and catching our breath from the day and while relaxing on the couch it hit me that I was going to have to take MY BABY and leave her with complete strangers for 3 of what would be the longest hours of my life. In the midst of watching whatever was on TV tears began to run down my face. I tried hiding it from my hubby and I did pretty good until it was time to go to bed and then he caught me and asked,"what in the world is wrong with you?". I answered him by saying "I don't want to take her". Now the tears really began to flow. So, morning comes and it's time to get dressed and go to school. Olivia was so excited and could not wait to get there! We walk up to the door and she pulls me back from the door and says "I don't want to go". I kneel down and begin to explain to her that it's going to be just fine, while choking back tears and questioning myself if it would be. We manage to get inside with no tears and her teacher takes her to play and we sneak out! I couldn't seem to make myself walk away and leave her there and then her teacher just happens to walk back out and she tells me that she's fine. So, Chad being the insensitive male that he is tells me we have to go and the dam breaks and the water works begin !!! For the next three hours my stomach was in knots! We arrived back at the school and much to my surprise she was not crying or upset at all she had had a great time. I was relieved.
This experience showed me that Olivia really doesn't belong to me she belongs to the Lord. I gave her to Him when she was still in my very large pregnant belly and asked Him to use her for His kingdom maybe this is the start of Him answering that very special little prayer. A scripture that rings loud in my mind through this little experience is Trust in the Lord with your whole heart and lean not on your on understanding!!! Through my experince I want to encouage those of you who might read this blog and have a big question in your life that you wonder if God really has your best interest at heart, let me assure you He does. Always keep in your mind that all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord!!

Back at It

It is time to get back to it!!! I've been missing from the blogging world for a while, life has been NUTS!!!! I've been waiting for things to slow down but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen! So, I've got to just pull up my boot straps and keep on truckin'.

Tonight Olivia and I have made her and Everly a tent to play in!

I remember me and my little friends doing this when we were little. This bought back so many good memories! My favorite person to do this with was LeeBo, he had a great vision for these things! LoL!!! He was very creative blanket, furniture tent maker!! Hahaha hopefully I can remember some of his creations for the girls.

Here's a look at the girls in there tent

Project Paint!

I was awoken this morning by my sweet husband and his spontaneous urge to paint. When we first moved into the house here in Brewton, back in August, we painted everything but the girls bedrooms and their play room. We have been procrastinating ever since. So this morning I guess it just hit him out of no where for us to start today! So this is the start of Everly's room!
The color is a little overwhelming at the moment I hope it tones down as it dries. Fingers crossed.
(Sorry the picture is not better. I will work on getting a better one)
Doesn't this color suit her?

Unfortunately Oreo, our mischievous little puppy, got painted!! Oops!!

(It's much worse than it looks i just couldn't get it all in the picture)
Life is full of little oops and I have realized that everyone is happier (including myself) if we just laugh at the little things, clean it up and move on. I encourage you to do the same, enjoy the oops with your little ones because it won't last forvever.

I'm sure you will hear more about the painting before this project is over with.

Tomorrow look for my spaghetti bake!! Yummo!!!

Yummy Cocoa

I am a hot chocolate nut!! My friend Candi mentioned to me one time that her favorite part of The Santa Clause movie was when the little girl elf ( I can't remember her name) brings in the cocoa and says it took her 2,000 years to get it right. This inspired me to work on my very own recipe! It took some time and a lot of experimenting but I finally got it right so, now I'm gonna share the finished product with you!!

These are the ingredients you need
Water, Whole Milk, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Hershey's Cocoa, Sugar, Heavy Whipping Cream and Salt

Start by putting 1/3 cup of water in a large pot and whisking in 1/4 cup of cocoa and 1/4 cup of sugar then sprinkle a little salt on top of this mixture. Now turn your heat on medium to medium low and whisk lightly until it begins to bubble.
( My little whisking machine)
At this time begin to slowly pour in a 1/2 of a can of sweetened condensed milk. Now wait for this to begin to bubble. You should have a pot of thick chocolaty goodness, now you can pour in 5 cups of milk and let it heat. Don't let it come to a boil just let it get good and hot without boiling!! While your milk is heating take a 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and pour it into a separate bowl and get a big pinch of sugar and sprinkle over it and then mix with your mixer until you get soft peeks. Now that your Hot Chocolate is warm and your fresh cream is ready ladle you some hot chocolate in a cup and put a big spoonful of cream on the top, or small which ever you pefer and then drink slowly and enjoy!!!

My beautiful cup and saucer set is from Blessings Unlimited

Kids and Phones

As you can tell from the previous post Olivia (my oldest)  has been playing with my phone and accessed my blog and did some damage! Oops!! No more playing with the phone for her!! She is such a little smarty. She amazes me sometimes with the things she can do!!
To Sweet!!

Anyways I had a nice little introductory post on here but I am not as savvy as she is with this stuff (haha) I'm not sure how to fix it back!
