Project Paint!

I was awoken this morning by my sweet husband and his spontaneous urge to paint. When we first moved into the house here in Brewton, back in August, we painted everything but the girls bedrooms and their play room. We have been procrastinating ever since. So this morning I guess it just hit him out of no where for us to start today! So this is the start of Everly's room!
The color is a little overwhelming at the moment I hope it tones down as it dries. Fingers crossed.
(Sorry the picture is not better. I will work on getting a better one)
Doesn't this color suit her?

Unfortunately Oreo, our mischievous little puppy, got painted!! Oops!!

(It's much worse than it looks i just couldn't get it all in the picture)
Life is full of little oops and I have realized that everyone is happier (including myself) if we just laugh at the little things, clean it up and move on. I encourage you to do the same, enjoy the oops with your little ones because it won't last forvever.

I'm sure you will hear more about the painting before this project is over with.

Tomorrow look for my spaghetti bake!! Yummo!!!

Yummy Cocoa

I am a hot chocolate nut!! My friend Candi mentioned to me one time that her favorite part of The Santa Clause movie was when the little girl elf ( I can't remember her name) brings in the cocoa and says it took her 2,000 years to get it right. This inspired me to work on my very own recipe! It took some time and a lot of experimenting but I finally got it right so, now I'm gonna share the finished product with you!!

These are the ingredients you need
Water, Whole Milk, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Hershey's Cocoa, Sugar, Heavy Whipping Cream and Salt

Start by putting 1/3 cup of water in a large pot and whisking in 1/4 cup of cocoa and 1/4 cup of sugar then sprinkle a little salt on top of this mixture. Now turn your heat on medium to medium low and whisk lightly until it begins to bubble.
( My little whisking machine)
At this time begin to slowly pour in a 1/2 of a can of sweetened condensed milk. Now wait for this to begin to bubble. You should have a pot of thick chocolaty goodness, now you can pour in 5 cups of milk and let it heat. Don't let it come to a boil just let it get good and hot without boiling!! While your milk is heating take a 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and pour it into a separate bowl and get a big pinch of sugar and sprinkle over it and then mix with your mixer until you get soft peeks. Now that your Hot Chocolate is warm and your fresh cream is ready ladle you some hot chocolate in a cup and put a big spoonful of cream on the top, or small which ever you pefer and then drink slowly and enjoy!!!

My beautiful cup and saucer set is from Blessings Unlimited
